We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in Georgetown, Kentucky. As a key member of our team, you will primarily focus on coordinating and managing all dispatch tasks, working closely with freight carriers, and ensuring efficient customer service in our logistics department.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the dispatch operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.

• Provide top-notch customer service, addressing and resolving any issues or inquiries promptly.

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for various tasks, including data entry and record-keeping.

• Collaborate with freight carriers, coordinating shipping and receiving activities.

• Maintain and update logistics records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Apply effective communication and conflict resolution skills in dealing with customers and team members.

• Handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills.

• Use your dispatching expertise to optimize logistics operations.

• Monitor client accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary.

Requirements • Must possess excellent customer service skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, including the ability to create spreadsheets, charts, and reports

• Experience in dispatching is necessary, including coordinating and overseeing transportation activities

• Knowledge of logistics processes and principles is required, including planning, implementing, and controlling the efficient flow and storage of goods

• Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures is essential, including managing incoming and outgoing shipments

• Experience with freight carriers is needed, including understanding the requirements, schedules, and fees associated with various carriers.
