Robert Half Lexington is on the hunt for a diligent Logistics Clerk to join a team in Georgetown, Kentucky. The role primarily involves managing operations related to cross-border shipping and customer service with drivers. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity within our logistics industry setting. This role is for a 3rd shift opening, with a schedule each week of Tuesday-Saturday 12:00am to 8:00am with some potential overtime. Apply today to be considered! Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance of drivers, including managing CDL renewals and ensuring they are adequately prepared for their routes.

• Oversee around 350 routes daily, including approximately 50 cross-border routes from Canada.

• Act as a liaison between drivers and Toyota for any arising issues such as routing design, readiness of trailers, and paperwork accuracy.

• Display excellent customer service skills while interacting with drivers, being firm but fair.

• Handle customs paperwork efficiently and accurately, ensuring attention to detail to avoid fines.

• Manage the process of receiving material from Canada to the Toyota plant and vice versa.

• Prepare for the added responsibility of managing cross border shipments from Mexico.

• Monitor and adapt to new challenges that might arise due to new security border measures.

• Proficiently handle MS Excel, Dispatching, Logistics, Shipping & Receiving, and Freight Carriers tasks.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Prior experience in logistics is required

• Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures is a must

• Experience with freight carriers is needed

• Strong customer service skills are essential

• Knowledge of dispatching processes is preferred
