We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Logistics Clerk in Georgetown, Kentucky. As a key member of our logistics team, your role will be primarily focused on managing dispatch operations, addressing customer inquiries, and maintaining a systematic record of logistics processes. Responsibilities
• Ensuring efficient and accurate processing of customer service requests
• Handling dispatch operations, including coordinating with freight carriers
• Utilizing Excel and other Office Suite tools for logistics management
• Providing high-quality customer service, including conflict resolution
• Keeping a detailed and accurate record of shipping and receiving procedures
• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary
• Balancing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining effective communication
• Applying strong listening and communication skills in all customer interactions
• Using logistics skills to support the expansion of the department.
Requirements • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking.
• Demonstrated experience in dispatching, including coordinating and scheduling shipments.
• Familiarity with the fundamentals of logistics and the ability to apply them in daily operations.
• Proven experience in shipping and receiving, ensuring all items are correctly logged and dispatched.
• Strong understanding of the operations of freight carriers, including knowledge of the best practices.
• Exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to handle queries and complaints promptly and professionally.
