Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Germantown, Wisconsin

Description We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the manufacturing industry based in Germantown, Wisconsin. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity where you will be tasked with various responsibilities such as recording payments to customer accounts, maintaining accounts receivable records, and managing collections.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately record payments to customer accounts and maintain detailed records.

• Process invoices for product shipments and handle special invoices as necessary.

• Address customer inquiries and issues related to accounts receivable.

• Process and apply credit card payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

• Issue account credits and process returns as required.

• Prepare monthly accounts receivable statements and ensure their accuracy.

• Carry out collections activities on accounts more than 30 days old.

• Maintain and file all accounts receivable paperwork and cash receipt records.

• File sales tax reports in multiple states and Canada as required.

• Assist with related special projects as required.

• Ensure professional appearance and organization of work area and files. Requirements • Minimum of three years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role within the manufacturing industry.

• Proficiency in utilizing QuickBooks for financial transactions and records.

• Demonstrated proficiency in handling Approved Invoices and managing Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience with Collections Management, including tracking and resolving outstanding payment issues.

• Proven ability to handle Credit Card Charges, including processing, recording, and reconciling.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with clients and team members.

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.

• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for creating and managing financial spreadsheets.

• Understanding of financial regulations and legislation to ensure compliance in all financial operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
