Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Getzville, New York
Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to become a part of our team located in GETZVILLE, New York. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the responsibility of executing a variety of accounting tasks, including preparing financial reports, budgeting, and maintaining the integrity of our financial data.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare internal and external financial reports and operational data
• Conduct analysis and report on relevant information to support organization initiatives
• Prepare and manage budgets and financial forecasts
• Create and analyze monthly, quarterly, and yearly financials and budget variance reports
• Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and prepare additional ad-hoc reports as needed
• Conduct monthly reconciliation of assigned accounts
• Review and approve payables and receivables
• Audit employee expense reimbursements and provide tax support
• Continually review processes and implement improvements when identified
• Manage client reporting needs and inquiries in a timely manner
• Support database management to maintain integrity and refine methodologies
• Review invoices for loans and shared services. Requirements • Extensive experience in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, and Journal Entries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required
• Demonstrated ability to perform Month End Close activities
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role or relevant accounting position
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
• Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks
• Knowledge of applicable laws, codes, and regulations
• CPA certification is a plus but not mandatory.
