Description

We are seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our team based in Glastonbury, Connecticut. As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for various accounting functions and will play a crucial role in maintaining and managing the clients financial records. This position is a contract role.

Responsibilities:

• Processing and managing customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency

• Maintaining accurate customer credit records and updating them as necessary

• Resolving customer credit inquiries in a timely and professional manner

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking appropriate action to collect delinquent payments

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suites to perform data entry and other administrative tasks

• Answering inbound calls and addressing customer queries related to their credit accounts

• Filing and organizing financial documents to ensure easy accessibility

• Assisting in the management of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Utilizing QuickBooks for various accounting functions.

Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites

• Experience with accounting functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

• Proficiency in data entry tasks

• Experience in answering inbound calls

• Ability to maintain an organized filing system

• Experience with QuickBooks software

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills

• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
