Description
We are offering an employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist I in Glen Allen, Virginia, United States. The primary job function involves managing all invoices and reimbursements for our organization and subsidiaries.
Responsibilities
• Accurately process all invoices for the organization and its subsidiaries, including reviewing each request for authorization, correcting general ledger account number, cost center, sales, and use taxes.
• Align purchase orders and expenditure authorizations with invoices while maintaining files for items that are capitalized.
• Manage teammate expenses reimbursement in line with established policies and procedures.
• Investigate, analyze, and resolve accounting issues involving teammate and vendor payments.
• Ensure the accuracy of the accounts payable system output in comparison to requests and invoices.
• Carry out the distribution of checks or the processing of electronic deposits as per written instructions.
• Handle the duplication of invoices coded to pre-paids, work in progress, and fixed asset accounts, and distribute to end users.
• Assist with the upkeep of the automated accounts payable system.
• Provide support to other Accounting teammates during peak periods, absences, or staffing emergencies.
• Adhere to all laws and regulations governing bank operations, including compliance with the organization's BSA/AML Policy and Procedures.
Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suites
• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP)
• Knowledge of office functions and procedures
• Familiarity with consumer electronics
• Strong sales skills
• Ability to research and work with vendors
• Understanding of general ledger and progress
• Experience with invoice processing
• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks
• Knowledge of compliance and policy
• Experience in expense reporting
• Familiarity with deposits and expenditure
• Skills in scanning documents and maintaining files
• Proficiency in 10 key skills
• Experience in authorizations and reimbursements
• Knowledge of AML - Anti Money Laundering
• Ability to contribute to staffing needs.
