Robert Half PC Technician in Glen Allen, Virginia
Description We are offering an opportunity for a PC Technician in the Internet Service Provider industry, based in Glen Allen, Virginia. This role is focused on installing wireless routers and PC monitors and requires skills in various technologies including Computer Hardware, Database, Dell Technologies, EO/IR systems, Linux Technologies, AB Testing, Active Directory, Apple Devices, Backup Technologies, and Cable Installation. This short term contract role will require the individual to demonstrate flexibility in working hours and physical resilience.
Responsibilities:
• Install wireless routers and PC monitors accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure the proper functioning of all installed hardware.
• Utilize skills in Computer Hardware, Database, Dell Technologies, and Linux Technologies to troubleshoot any issues.
• Use Active Directory and Apple Devices knowledge to manage customer accounts.
• Leverage skills in Backup Technologies and Cable Installation for effective system maintenance.
• Respond to and resolve customer inquiries related to the installed systems.
• Bring your own Power Drill/Power screwdriver (Phillips head) to perform necessary installations and adjustments.
• Be prepared to work beyond regular hours if needed to complete a project.
• Demonstrate physical resilience by lifting small weights and crawling under tables if needed. Requirements • Must have a strong understanding of Computer Hardware
• Proven experience with Database systems
• Familiarity with Dell Technologies is essential
• Should have knowledge of EO/IR systems
• Proficiency in Linux Technologies is required
• Experience in AB Testing is advantageous
• Active Directory management skills are necessary
• Must be comfortable working with Apple Devices
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies is required
