Description
A prominent plaintiff's law firm in Glendale, CA is seeking two experienced Litigation Assistants to join their team! The ideal Litigation Assistant or Litigation Secretary will have at least two years of experience in civil litigation and will have supported two attorneys in previous roles.
a well-qualified Litigation Assistant/Litigation Secretary will have thorough knowledge of court processes and procedures, proficiency utilizing electronic document management software’s and a proven track record of thriving in fast-paced environments. Must have extensive state court filing experience, strong technology proficiency, in-depth knowledge and experience calendaring deadlines (via google) and formatting legal documents to receive consideration. Work experience related to employment law or plaintiff personal injury litigation is a plus!
Key Responsibilities
Utilize organizational skills to assist attorneys effectively and efficiently in the resolution of files
Electronic court filing in Federal and State Courts
Administer assigned files and deliver legal services under attorney supervision
Organize and prepare documents for depositions, hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and trials
Update calendars, manage litigation deadlines and billing entries
Format, proofread, edit, and maintain Legal files
Carry out administrative tasks as necessary
Requirements
2+ years of civil litigation experience
