Description

Robert Half Legal is working with an extremely stable, well-established law firm based in the San Fernando Valley. The firm is looking for an attorney to come in join its tenured team. This attorney will be focused on healthcare litigation. The role will involve handling a litigation caseload with most cases going to arbitration.

Responsibilities of Role:

  • Thoroughly review and provide input on Government payer claims

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all queries and strategies relating to government payer claims

  • Design and implement educational programs to train staff and attorneys in the field

  • Stay updated on all developments in the area and communicate these updates effectively

  • Actively participate in client calls and meetings to provide input on recovery strategies for government payer claims

  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge about the statutes, regulation and CMS requirements of Medicare and MediCal/Medicaid programs

  • Utilize various software such as 3M, Case Management Software, Legal software, LexisNexis, and Management System for efficient operation

  • Utilize excellent briefing, civil litigation, claim administration, complaint handling, and documentation skills in daily tasks

  • Ensure compliance with Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations.

Compensation:

  • Salary range from 175,000 to 200,000 DOE

  • Bonuses based on firm and individual performance.

  • Benefits kick in after 90 days.

  • Medical covered by firm, small copay for dental & vision care.

  • Major holidays off, 2 weeks’ vacation.

  • 401k w/ match.

    Requirements

  • Someone very heavily experienced and knowledgeable about the statues, regulation and CMS requirements of Medicare and MediCal/Medicaid programs.

  • The ideal candidate will have direct experience working for CMS or comparable experience.

  • This individual does not have to be an attorney, however, would be desirable.
