Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Software Engineer to work remotely. This role is focused on operations within the software industry, specifically within the realm of cloud technologies and application development. The successful candidate will be part of a team providing both tools and guidance for operations in AWS, acting as a productivity multiplier and offering a 'cloud-native' perspective on application architecture, infrastructure, and deployment strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor and address inbound issues reported via Jira, email, and Slack
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of infrastructure tooling and scripts (Terraform, Python, etc.) to drive efficiencies
• Implement and execute best practices and security standards for operating in the cloud
• Contribute to a library of shared modules and champion best practices for cloud architecture
• Participate in investigations and RCA’s to continuously improve by learning from failures
• Work with infrastructure tooling to form cloud infrastructure as code
• Automate processes and workflows where applicable
• Provide operational and technical guidance to Application Development (DevOps) teams utilizing the AWS environment
• Monitor and work on account management and configuration management tasks as required
• Ensure the maintenance of accurate customer credit records and processing of customer credit applications.
Requirements
Interview Process:

1-hour technical panel with the team
Questions to Expect:
Complex IAM policy construction and management, multi-tenant environments, least privileged resource restrictions
AWS network traffic flow and management at scale
Cloud Account Management for streaming
Platform infrastructure baselines
Best practices and new features in AWS (not dev pipelines)
Role Details:
Heavy focus on AWS security (networks, logging, IAM)
Backfill role with plans for growth
Goal is to convert or extend based on business needs
Remote US, onsite presence may aid conversion to full time employment

Tools: Confluence, Jira, PagerDuty, GitHub

Team builds platforms for developers to build streaming services
