Associate Attorney

Robert Half has partnered with a well-established defense litigation firm, in the Cherry Creek area, on the search for a 2+ years’ Litigation Associate Attorney to join their growing team. Ideal candidates interested in this position should have 2+ years of civil litigation, medical malpractice defense, professional malpractice, and/or liability experience. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Representing health care professionals and institutions in medical malpractice defense litigation

• Conducting thorough case investigations and evaluations

• Drafting and responding to legal pleadings and motions

• Conducting and defending depositions on behalf of clients

• Deposing witnesses, including medical experts

• Conducting legal research and analysis to develop effective defense strategies

• Participating in mediations and settlement agreements

• Negotiating settlements and representing clients in court proceedings

• Preparing for and potentially trying cases to verdict

• Collaborating with Partners and paralegals to manage caseloads efficiently

• Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry trends related to medical malpractice and healthcare

• Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements • Must possess skills in Briefing, providing clear, concise, and relevant information in a timely manner.

• Experience in Civil Litigation is required, dealing with non-criminal disputes and resolving them in court.

• Proficiency in Complaint Handling, effectively addressing and resolving client issues.

• Knowledge and experience in Administrative Law, dealing with government agency decisions and regulations.

• Must have experience in Medical Malpractice, dealing with cases of negligence in the medical field.

• Experience in Detail Oriented Malpractice, dealing with cases of negligence outside of the medical field.

• Ability to manage cases effectively, ensuring all aspects of a case are properly organized and tracked.

• Experience in Jury Trials, presenting cases before a jury in court.

• Skilled in Trial Preparation, ensuring all necessary steps are taken for a successful trial.

• Proficiency in Preparing Pleadings, drafting formal allegations of parties in a lawsuit.

• Must be adept at Arguing Motions, presenting arguments in court to obtain a favorable decision.

• Experience in Motion Practice, dealing with procedural or administrative matters in a case.

• Must have experience Defending Depositions, protecting client interests during witness interviews.

• Skilled in conducting Depositions, interviewing witnesses outside of court.

• Strong skills in Legal Research, investigating facts and law to support case strategies.

• Proven track record in Negotiating Settlements, resolving disputes outside of court.
