Robert Half is seeking a Payroll Administrator who can process payroll and is proficient with Microsoft Office applications to fill a role with a company in the Manufacturing field. The Payroll Administrator opportunity will be located in Glendale Heights, Illinois as a long-term contract-to-full time role.

Payroll information management via collecting, calculating, and entering data
Manage other tasks as assigned
Put together for department heads the circulation of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports
Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll
Promote employee confidence by protecting payroll operations and keeping information confidential
Handle reconciliation of employee deductions and other relevant liabilities
Compile summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages as part of report preparation
Perform review and verification of source documents
Put together summaries of employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments and employee federal and state income and social security taxes to calculate all payroll liabilities
Using federal and state regulations and guidelines, certify company compliance
Manage payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
Handle all payroll information questions and requests
Report changes where necessary after maintaining payroll operations via company policies and procedures
Track payroll record changes by entering updates in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
Proficient with high volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc.
Knowledge of internal controls
Knowledge of payroll for under 100 employees
Payroll Tax Reporting experience preferred
Experience with Process Payroll
Demonstrated knowledge of ADP Online
Deep understanding of Payroll Functions
General familiarity with Microsoft Excel
Adeptness in Reconcile Payroll
Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
Candidate must possess first-rate analytical, quantitative and social skills
5+ years of relevant experience in payroll
Knowledgeable of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
Prior experience using accounting software
CPP designation preferred
Expertise in federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
