Robert Half Network Administrator in Glendale, Wisconsin
Description We are offering an exciting contract to permanent position for a Network Administrator in Glendale, Wisconsin. This role involves planning, supervising, and managing various aspects of our computer/network environment to facilitate educational opportunities and maximize student learning.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and operation of network hardware including servers, routers, switches, and uninterrupted power supplies.
• Manage the maintenance and upgrades of firewall and Internet filters, ensuring the sustainability of data archiving, storage, and backup systems.
• Collaborate closely with the Director of Technology to establish and enforce data security and cybersecurity procedures.
• Handle the creation and maintenance of student and staff network and software accounts.
• Manage the 'Help Desk' for network-related issues and maintain accurate ticket records.
• Implement specialized software/hardware solutions in coordination with the staff.
• Administer the maintenance of hardware and software, images, inventory, and policies on district equipment.
• Evaluate emerging technologies in line with district initiatives and needs.
• Oversee copiers, printers, and all functions related to direct and cloud printing.
• Support district data systems such as student information, food service, library, and recreation department software systems.
• Prepare and maintain records related to network activity, servers, software licensing, firmware, inventory, user accounts, and other assigned activities. Requirements • Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Cisco Routers and other Cisco Technologies
• Experience with Citrix Technologies and Dell Technologies
• Familiarity with Firewall Technologies and their effective management
• Ability to work with Active Directory
• Knowledge of Backup Technologies and their application in preserving data integrity
• Experience in handling Computer Hardware issues and maintenance
• Proficiency in Configuration Management to ensure system security and performance
• Experience in Deployments, including planning and execution
• Expertise in Microsoft Windows Server administration
• Ability to manage desktop environments, including Desktop Administration
• Understanding of Enterprise Network architecture and management
• Knowledge of Cybersecurity Compliance, with the ability to implement and maintain security protocols and practices. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
