Description
We are currently in need of an Accountant to join our team in Golden Valley, Minnesota. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The Accountant will have key responsibilities in overseeing financial closings, analyzing income and expense accounts, completing balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining insurance policies and creating annual budgets among other duties.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee monthly financial closing for multiple companies, including analyzing income and expense accounts, posting allocations and accruals
• Prepare financial statements, schedules, and reports
• Analyze variances and make recommendations
• Complete balance sheet reconciliations
• Oversee banking functions and funding
• Set up and retire depreciable assets
• Maintain insurance policies, property and auto claims, and participate in annual workers’ compensation audit
• Create annual budgets for multiple companies by working with other departments to make decisions and plan while assessing financial goals
• Calculate client billing rates and staffing needs
• Assist in annual company audit
• Complete census reporting, unclaimed property reporting, and any relevant State and Medicaid audits
Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Ability to handle Accounting Functions with efficiency and accuracy.
• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
• Familiarity with Budget Processes and related financial planning activities.
• Proficient in using Excel Formulas for financial calculations and data analysis.
