Description

We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team in the construction/contractor industry, based in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. In this role, you'll be responsible for tasks related to timekeeping and payroll, utilizing your skills in accounting software systems, auditing, and timekeeping systems like UKG Pro and Kronos Timekeeping System. Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accurate and prompt rectification of timesheet errors within our primary time-management software.

• Conduct audits of different payrolls and address any irregularities found.

• Coordinate with HR, management, and employees to gather information or clarify discrepancies in timekeeping.

• Contribute to team efforts to maintain and improve quality workplace service.

• Communicate relevant payroll or timekeeping issues to all relevant stakeholders.

• Assist in ensuring compliance with all aspects of timekeeping and payroll policies and standards.

• Verify and process timesheets, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies and employment laws.

• Correct all discrepancies and errors within timesheets in a timely and accurate manner.

• Use accounting software systems to maintain accurate customer credit records and process customer credit applications.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

Requirements

• Auditing skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Familiarity with UKG Pro software.

• Experience in using the Kronos Timekeeping System.

• A strong understanding of construction and contracting industry payroll procedures.

• Excellent problem-solving skills.

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

• High level of interpersonal skills and integrity.

• Solid organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task.

• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
