What you get to do every single day
Analyze and create Ad Hoc financial reports
Determine and form process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency
Design relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like key financial metrics, actual spend against budgets/outlook, and the monthly flash report
Enhanced preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits
Direct the accounting team during the closing process to secure deadlines are met
Encourage accountability and the meeting of deliverables
Compose diverse procedures, policies, and technical accounting analyses
Facilitate to ensure a competent, trained staff through regular assessment, development, and goal setting
Backfill for Controller where appropriate
Pitch in to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting
Warrant regular account reconciliation to completion
Supplementary duties as assigned
Endorse implementation and confirm adherence to accounting policies and procedures
Requirements
Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
CPA certification a plus
Knowledge of Inventory Tracking
Quality experience with budget forecasting
General ledger experience
Wide ranging experience with variance analysis
Earlier work involving financial reporting
Proven knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
Good understanding of CPA
General familiarity with financial statement preparation
Practical knowledge of month end closings
Solid understanding of Standard Cost Accounting
Foundational knowledge in general ledger
Proficiency in account reconciliation
Well-founded grasp of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Ability to multitask effectively
Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
5+ years of general ledger accounting experience
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting of Finance required
- Significant experience in enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills
