Robert Half Systems Engineer in Goose Creek, South Carolina
Description We are in search of a Systems Engineer for a long-term contract employment opportunity in the manufacturing industry. The role is based in Goose Creek, South Carolina, and will involve remote work. As a Systems Engineer, you will be pivotal in migrating Active Directory, configuring network components, and supporting other components of the project that require Active Directory assistance.
Responsibilities:
• Develop the Amercable Active Directory infrastructure
• Facilitate the migration from Nexans Active Directory to Amercable Active Directory within the Amercable scope
• Assist in establishing the Access Management and Endpoint management tool
• Configure all Active Directory components, including DNS, DFS, DHCP
• Support the migration and configuration of the File Server
• Contribute to the installation of ADFS and AD Connect
• Aid in the migration of local and global applications
• Establish the new RBAC model for the Amercable Active Directory
• Draft the Amercable Active Directory HLD/ LLD
• Oversee the migration and configuration of printers
• Define the Amercable PKI and migrate internal certificates
• Assist with the Office 365 migration Requirements • Demonstrated experience as a Systems Engineer in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient understanding and working knowledge of Active Directory.
• Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Exchange.
• Proven track record in server migration.
• Experience in infrastructure configuration, specifically in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex systems issues.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with internal teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
• Proficient in creating and maintaining technical documentation for system design and processes.
• Possess relevant industry certifications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with peers and other departments.
