Description

Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to support our manufacturing client in Gowanda, NY on an interim basis. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of manufacturing accounting principles and will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions. This is a temporary opportunity for approximately 3-6 months.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct month-end analysis and prepare corresponding journal entries

• Perform thorough inventory analysis and balance sheet reconciliations

• Oversee and manage fixed assets within the company

• Handle financial statement documentation, auditing, and bookkeeping functions

• Contribute to other accounting functions as needed.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is essential. Experience with Sage preferred

• Must be well-versed in general accounting functions

• Skilled in preparation and analysis of Financial Statements

• Experience with inventory and fixed assets preferred

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• High attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
