Description

Robert Half Finance & Accounting is working with a client in the Grand Island, NE area who is looking to fill a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position on a full-time, permanent basis. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will be the key financial leadership member and will strategize in steering the company's fiscal strategies. You will leverage your expertise in accounting principles to ensure seamless financial operations. Your role will encompass overseeing financial processing, reporting, auditing, payroll preparation, and managing a team of professionals. This position offers base salary, bonus eligibility, full benefits, and hybrid working capabilities on a case-by-case basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategically plan, develop, and direct the organization's fiscal function and performance.

  • Keep management informed through analysis of special reports, summarizing information, and identifying trends.

  • Collaborate with the management team to shape the corporation’s plans and programs.

  • Provide evaluations and advice on long-range planning, new program/strategy introductions, and regulatory actions.

  • Enhance corporation operations and effectiveness by implementing and enforcing policies and procedures.

  • Work with the team on projects contributing to the company's success.

  • Evaluate and improve the efficiency of the finance division structure continually.

  • Act as a financial advisor for contracts the corporation enters.

  • Manage income and payroll tax issues, including reporting and correspondence for corporate, partnership, individual, fiduciary, payroll, and benefit plans.

    Requirements

Requirements & Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field required.

  • Minimum 3+ years of prior supervisory experience overseeing accounting & finance staff members.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines for duties such as financial reporting, external reporting, and other tasks.

  • Strong skills in financial management, accounting, and developing new & updated financial operating procedures/standards.

  • Experience in preparing and acting as liaison for external corporate year-end tax and financial audit processes.
