Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Grand Prairie, Texas

Description Robert Half is looking for an Accounting Manager that is focused, eager, and experienced for an immediate opening at a dynamic, progressive company. In this position, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including maintaining the general ledger system, preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. Preferably, you should be able to establish and scale company accounting and finance operations. This Accounting Manager role is a permanent employment opportunity, based in the Grand Prairie, Texas area.

Major responsibilities

  • Play key role in implementation of NetSuite Financials including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration

  • Assemble a variety of technical accounting policies, procedures, and analyses

  • Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook

  • Possess a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

  • Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes

  • Ensure close deadlines are met by encouraging and managing the accounting team performance during the closing process

  • Provide regular review and analysis of balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant Requirements - Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable

  • CPA or MBA preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience

  • Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity

  • Exceptional communication skills that provide the ability to interact with all levels of the organization with a high customer service orientation

  • Command of month end closings

  • Solid understanding of Cost of Goods Sold (COGS)

  • Strong familiarity with Margin Analysis

  • Proven technical skills

  • Recent relevant financial experience
