Description
We're on the lookout for an experienced accounting professional to take on the permanent role of Senior Accountant at a growing Wholesale Distribution company in the Grand Prairie, Texas area. As a Senior Accountant, your responsibilities will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant role is with a company in the Wholesale Distribution field and is located in Grand Prairie, Texas.
Key responsibilities
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Produce error-free monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables such as journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Participate in various department-wide initiatives
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
When working with business partners, ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls. Additionally, be able to provide support on special requests
-System implementation from QB to Oracle NetSuite

Requirements
5+ years of overall general accounting experience
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Deep understanding of internal controls and SOX compliance
Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks and Oracle NetSuite
Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills
