Robert Half Accounting Manager in GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan
Description An industry-leading Non-Profit company has an excellent and immediate opening for an eager and skilled Accounting Manager through Robert Half. In this role, you will be responsible for leading daily operations, including preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable, and related duties. An integral part of this position is establishing and scaling company accounting and finance operations. What you get to do every single day
Play a key role in system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration of NetSuite Financials
Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements through data analysis, document preparation, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Possessing a thorough knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Encourage and manage the full accounting team performance so that close deadlines are met
Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant Requirements - Excellent problem-solving skills
Reliable technology and analytical abilities
CPA or MBA preferred
2+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
Foundational knowledge in month end closings
Deep understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
Adeptness in Month-end Financial
Account reconciliation experience desired
Month-end Close Activities experience highly desired
Month-end Journal Entries experience highly preferred
Practical knowledge of Month-end Financial
Demonstrated knowledge of month end closings
General familiarity with Month-end Close Activities
Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)
