Description
We are in the search of an Accounting Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role focuses on a wide range of financial and accounting matters, requiring proficiency with accounting software systems and a strong understanding of general ledger functions. This is a short-term contract employment opportunity with a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the proficient utilization of the general ledger
• Compile, scrutinize, and guarantee the accuracy of financial data
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings
• Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for efficient record-keeping
• Communicate effectively with other departments to verify transactions and resolve accounting discrepancies
• Maintain and reconcile various balance sheets and accounts
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports
• Keep abreast with industry trends and regulations to maintain up-to-date compliance
• Perform additional accounting duties and special projects as assigned
• Work proficiently with accounting software systems such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel
Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Familiarity with Accounting Functions is necessary
• Expertise in QuickBooks is crucial
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is needed
• Knowledge of General Ledger is essential
• Ability to prepare Financial Statements is required
