Office Manager

An Office Manager is needed for a Grand Rapids company offered through Robert Half. This Office Manager will be maintaining office services by organizing office operations and procedures, preparing payroll, controlling correspondence, designing filing systems, reviewing and approving supply requisitions and assigning clerical functions. As the Office Manager, you will provide historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records and maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement. Designs and implements office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments.

Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.

Keeps management informed by reviewing and analyzing special reports; summarizing information; identifying trends.

Maintains office staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.


Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

Highly organized and self-motivated

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred

Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

3+ years of related experience- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines
