Robert Half Payroll Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Description

We are seeking a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our team located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role is an opportunity to contribute to our mission of providing excellent social assistance services by managing all aspects of payroll administration and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processing.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize UKG software to accurately process payroll for employees, including regular wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.

• Ensure timely processing of payroll cycles, adhering to established deadlines.

• Verify and reconcile payroll data to maintain accuracy and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.

• Administer the organization's 403(b) retirement plan, including employee contributions, employer matches, and compliance with IRS regulations.

• Coordinate with the retirement plan provider to ensure accurate recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance with plan documents.

• Assist employees with inquiries related to the 403(b) plan, including eligibility, contributions, and distributions.

• Manage all aspects of payroll administration, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in payroll processing.

• Have expertise in payroll processing using UKG software and familiarity with 403(b) retirement plans.

• Handle 403(b) audits and have knowledge of nonprofit payroll regulations.

Requirements • Proficient in using UKG Pro and UKG Ready.

• Demonstrable experience in payroll processing and management.

• Ability to manage payroll for 101-500 employees.

• Knowledge of payroll taxes and regulations.

• Capable of processing bi-weekly and biweekly payroll.

• Experience with fund accounting in a non-profit setting.

• Familiarity with 403B Plans.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.

• High attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection laws.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Relevant certification in payroll management is a plus.
