Robert Half Public Relations Specialist in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Description

Robert Half is seeking a talented Public Relations Specialist to work for our corporate client in Grand Rapids, Michigan. This role involves developing and implementing strategic public relations plans, maintaining relationships with media contacts, and contributing to the development of communications strategies for the company. The Public Relations Specialist will also be responsible for writing, editing, and proofreading content for the firm, writing press releases and other communication materials. This is an onsite position in the office 5 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement strategic public relations plans to support marketing and business development objectives

• Maintain relationships with media contacts and manage a comprehensive media database

• Write, edit, and proofread press releases, marketing collateral, award nominations, and other communication materials

• Collaborate with business development managers and teams to define visibility goals and measure ROI

• Contribute to the development and execution of video marketing strategies

• Monitor media coverage and industry trends to inform public relations strategies and opportunities

• Prepare ad hoc internal and external communications, including newsletters, articles, and announcements

• Ensure consistency and quality of messaging across all communication platforms

• Utilize social media platforms for public relations purposes

• Successfully pitch media to secure quotes, interviews, and feature stories in prominent publications.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, or related field

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in public relations or communications role

• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud

• Experience with Content Management System (CMS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools

• Familiarity with database management

• Proven experience in developing and executing successful advertising campaigns

• Strong blogging skills and experience

• Demonstrated ability to increase brand awareness

• Experience in campaign planning and execution

• Proficiency in media relations and composing press releases

• Strong Portfolio on writing samples

• Ability to work onsite in
