Robert Half Sr. Accountant in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the manufacturing industry, based in GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan, United States. This hybrid role will require you to be on site for 3 days and allow you to work remotely for 2 days.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee General Ledger maintenance and cleanup
• Handle Accounts Receivable and ensure all transactions are accurately recorded
• Manage Accounts Payable and ensure smooth financial operations
• Oversee cash management and ensure all transactions are accurately automated
• Oversee inventory and capital progress, ensuring these are accurately reflected in the system
• Utilize skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
• Use Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP for various accounting tasks
• Prepare and process journal entries as part of the month-end close process. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, with a focus on identifying discrepancies and resolving them efficiently
• Solid experience in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Expertise in performing Bank Reconciliations, highlighting any irregularities or potential issues
• In-depth knowledge of managing the General Ledger, including maintenance, review, and analysis
• Ability to prepare and post Journal Entries, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, using it for data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting
• Experience with Month End Close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported within set deadlines
• Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software, utilizing its features to streamline financial operations
• Experience with Oracle financial software, using it to enhance financial reporting and analysis
• Knowledge of SAP financial software, integrating it with accounting processes for efficient financial management
