Robert Half Systems Administrator in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Systems Administrator in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You will be part of a team working with various technologies, including Vmware, AD, Servers, Routers switches, MS windows, citrix, Linux, LAN/WAN, Azure, and Cisco Technologies. This role involves maintaining and improving system performance, resolving system issues, and ensuring efficient system operations.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and maintain systems support for software, hardware, and servers, test, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve all issues.

• Utilize Cisco Technologies, Dell Technologies, and Active Directory in daily tasks to ensure optimal system performance.

• Maintain and manage LAN/WAN environment, effectively handling all issues related to routers and switches.

• Deploy, manage, and maintain servers and related infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

• Leverage Windows Azure and Windows Environment in the management and support of internal and/or external networks.

• Implement EO/IR systems and backup technologies to ensure data security and access.

• Conduct configuration management and quality assurance tests regularly.

• Lead system deployments and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades.

• Utilize Linux Technologies to optimize system operations.

• Resolve technical issues in a timely manner using available resources within the company. Requirements • Demonstrated experience in Systems Administration

• Proficiency in Cisco Technologies, including Cisco Firewall and Cisco Hardware

• Strong knowledge of Database management and Deployment strategies

• Familiarity with Dell Technologies

• Understanding of EO/IR systems

• Proficiency in Linux Technologies and Active Directory

• Experience with Backup Technologies and Computer Hardware

• Skills in Configuration Management

• Familiarity with Windows 11, Windows Azure, and Windows Environment

• Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
