We are offering a contract employment opportunity in Grand Rapids, Michigan for a Collections Specialist. This role is crucial in our manufacturing industry, focusing on managing customer credit files, resolving billing disputes, and implementing strategies to minimize outstanding debts.

Responsibilities:

• Manage customer credit files, ensuring all information is accurate and up-to-date.

• Handle billing disputes, working closely with customers to reach a resolution.

• Implement collection strategies and procedures to reduce accounts receivable delinquency.

• Track and monitor outstanding customer debts, liaising with sales teams to resolve payment issues.

• Negotiate payment plans with customers when required, maintaining a sensitive and professional approach.

• Use accounting software systems to manage and organize records efficiently.

• Answer inbound calls from customers, providing excellent customer service and resolving inquiries.

• Carry out claim administration duties, ensuring all claims are processed accurately.

• Oversee collection processes, making sure they are conducted in line with industry standards.

• Support other credit and collection tasks as directed.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is mandatory

• Ability to efficiently handle Answering Inbound Calls

• Familiarity with Billing Functions and processes

• Experience in Claim Administration

• Knowledge of Collection Processes and best practices

• Excellent Customer Service skills, with a focus on resolving issues efficiently and effectively
