The permanent Controller position is situated in the Green Bay, Wisconsin area. You will succeed in this position if you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Your responsibilities

  • Ensure deliverables of self and team meet expectations

  • Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

  • Able to perform additional tasks beyond formal job duties

  • Manage the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is on time

  • Support Finance Department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed

  • Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management

  • Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports

  • Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

  • Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm-wide operation is efficient and effective

  • Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll

  • Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

Requirements

  • CPA/MBA preferred

  • High attention to detail

  • BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

  • Excellent verbal, written, and social skills

  • Self-starter, ability to identify issues and resolve problems

  • Strong familiarity with Public Accounting

  • Financial Statement experience

  • Proven knowledge of Manufacturing Variance

  • Governmental accounting experience

  • Percentage (%) of completion experience desired

  • Well-founded grasp of account reconciliation

  • Command of Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines

  • Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued

  • Progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

  • Strong analytical capabilities and discernment

  • Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations

  • Excellent technology, analytics and management experience require
