The permanent Accounting Manager position is situated in the Greenfield, Wisconsin area. In this role, it will be critical for you to plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff. Responsibilities
Manage finance department operations, including accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
Each month, present executive committee and partners with financial reports
Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly
Capable of handling responsibilities beyond formal job duties
Inspect deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations
Prepare cash-flow reports that project cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and handle daily cash management
Handle monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis
Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation
Ensure timely cash collection by driving the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques
Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation
Qualifications:
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
BA/BS in Accounting
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
5-10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as an Accounting Manager preferred
Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired
Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
Previous experience working with Fixed Asset Accounting
Command of Month-end Close Activities
Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV
General familiarity with Full Cycle Payroll
Earlier work involving Commercial Leasing
Good understanding of equipment leasing
Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills
Advanced credentials such as a Masters of Business Administration / MBA or Certified Public Accountant / CPA are preferred
Requirements
