Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Greensboro, North Carolina

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. As an integral part of our organization, you will supervise a small team of Property Accountants, ensuring accurate cash management, accounting, and financial reporting for all properties in the portfolio. This role is ideally suited to someone with expertise in Property Accounting and Direct Supervision.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the timely and accurate handling of cash management, accounting, and financial reporting.

• Prepare financial summaries to accompany financial statements and maintain the tracking calendar for the closing process.

• Ensure that Replacement Reserve Draw requests are completed properly and submitted quarterly.

• Evaluate and manage cash throughout the entire portfolio.

• Act as a subject matter expert on GAAP and assist the team with financials or special projects as needed.

• Assist with the annual budget creation and review process.

• Prepare annual audit and year-end packages according to deadlines and respond to any questions asked by external parties.

• Maintain accounting internal controls, policies, and practices.

• Update annual insurance and tax escrow calculations.

• Act as subject matter expert on Yardi and Rent Café related issues.

• Perform renters’ liability insurance audits, checking for lapses or missing coverage and work with site teams to ensure accuracy. Requirements • Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a management or supervisory capacity

• Solid understanding and experience with Property Accounting

• Experience in Direct Supervision of a team, with the ability to motivate and lead effectively

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including preparation of financial statements and budget reports

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions

• High level of proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification is preferred

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
