Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Greensboro, North Carolina
Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in Greensboro, North Carolina. This role is within the telecom provider industry and will require you to perform a variety of accounting functions, including data entry and managing discrepancies.
Responsibilities:
• Utilize accounting software systems such as Great Plains (GPAC), IBM AS/400, and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to perform daily tasks.
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) duties, including check processing.
• Use Microsoft Excel to maintain and analyze financial data.
• Assist with the resolution of any issues or discrepancies related to accounts payable.
• Ensure the accurate and timely processing of payment transactions.
• Maintain accurate records and prepare reports related to accounts payable.
• Perform data entry tasks, inputting financial information into the company's system.
• Use your knowledge of accounting functions to support the team and contribute to financial projects.
• Collaborate with the team to improve financial processes and systems.
• Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required
• Experience with Great Plains (GPAC) is preferred
• Familiarity with IBM AS/400 is beneficial
• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne is an advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is necessary
• Experience in Accounting Functions is required
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP) processes
• Experience in Check Processing is desirable
• Strong Data Entry skills are necessary
• Ability to identify and resolve Discrepancies is essential
