Description
Access control technicians are responsible for performing various kinds of maintenance and repair work on diverse electronic and mechanic access control systems. These professionals participate in the installation, troubleshooting, repairing and maintenance of access and lock systems and thus help out in restricting access to critical resources. They are also involved in offering users certain privileges of access based on their login credentials.
What are the primary responsibilities of Access Control Technician?
Install, repair and update access control boards, card-swipe equipment, alarm devices, door alarms, locks etc.
Install and maintain client/server computers
Issue ID cards and codes to staff
Change lock combinations on a regular basis
Install and maintain master key systems
Preserve key control records, codes, combinations etc.
Maintain records of users having access to special zones
Install and maintain video surveillance systems
Carryout maintenance of locking devices
Install CAT 5/6 cabling
Requirements
1+ years of experience installing access control equipment including Electronic door locks, CCTV cameras, alarm systems, etc
Experience installing CAT 5/6 cabling
