We are offering a great opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Specialist here in Greenville, SC. The role involves a wide range of duties including processing customer applications, maintaining customer records, payment posting, cash applications, etc.

Full Job Description:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Keep accurate records of customer credit

• Resolve issues related to cash applications and ensure timely processing

• Post incoming payments to the appropriate customer and/or General Ledger accounts in ERP systems

• Investigate and resolve payments without remittances, ensuring correct application

• Reconcile cash receipts between bank accounts and ERP systems

• Verify the accuracy and validity of deductions/discounts

• Collaborate with the Collections department to identify and rectify misapplied, duplicate, or overpayments

• Assist in the research and resolution of unapplied cash

• Maintain and report on bank statements, payments, and remittances.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role (preferred)

• Proficiency in performing Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks such as billing, cash applications, and remittance

• Demonstrated experience in post payments and cash posting operations

• Proven ability to handle deductions efficiently and accurately

• Proficiency in using and maintaining the General Ledger

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
