Robert Half Collections Specialist in Greenville, South Carolina
Description
We are seeking folks for a great opportunity with a company within the downtown area! As a Collections Specialist, your work is centered around maintaining and improving the financial standing of our company by managing and executing collection processes. You will be part of a team that values accuracy, efficiency, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities:
• Monitor customer accounts and identify outstanding debts.
• Plan course of action for recovery of outstanding payments.
• Locate and establish contact with debtors to inquire of their payment status.
• Negotiate payoff deadlines and payment plans.
• Handle questions or complaints, investigate and resolve discrepancies.
• Update account status and database regularly.
• Alert superiors of debtors unwilling or unable to pay when necessary.
• Comply with requirements when legal action is unavoidable.
• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and tracking of customer accounts.
• Ensure all customer information is correct and up-to-date.
Additional Information:
-Temp to hire
-Onsite, 40 hours per week
-Hourly + monthly commission (pay out ranges depending on collection results)

Requirements
• Knowledge and experience with Collection Processes preferred
• Excellent Customer Service skills
• Proficient in Data Entry tasks
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to handle difficult customers and resolve collection issues
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Good time management and organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• High degree of professionalism and integrity.
