Description
The Robert Half Healthcare Practice is working with an Indianapolis based company to add a Clinical Coder to their team. This position is fully remote but you will need to live in Indiana as there are some onsite requirements.
Hours: Flexible hours between 6am - 6pm Monday -Friday
Responsibilities for the position include the following:
Codes patient encounters using SDC, OBS, IP, clinical, and PT coding systems.
Reviews medical record documentation for accuracy and completeness to ensure proper code assignment.
Abstracts codes using the 3M coding software.
Runs and balances daily transaction posting reports.
Identifies and reports compliance issues to manager.
Requirements
2-4 Years related coding experience required
Certified Coding Specialist certification or Certified Professional Coder certification required
RHIT certification preferred
Prior experience in CPT and ICD-10 coding preferred
Athena experience a MUST
Do not need clinical experience
