Description
At Robert Half, we are working with a highly respected client who is seeking a Contract Legal Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is an excellent opportunity to hone your skills in a supportive, professional environment while having the ability to put your legal knowledge into practice.
Responsibilities:
Perform legal and factual research
Assist attorneys in preparing for trials and court proceedings.
Identify relevant legal articles, laws, and judicial decisions for cases.
Prepare legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, and real estate closing statements.
Organize and track case files to ensure they remain updated.
Facilitate the meeting of deadlines by keeping multiple agendas and providing timely reminders.
Maintain attorneys’ calendar by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, dispositions, and travel.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Associate's or bachelor's degree in law or relevant field preferred.
At least 1-2 years of working experience in a law firm or legal department as a legal assistant/paralegal.
Knowledge of legal terminologies, regulations, court system, and procedures.
Proficiency in MS Office and ability to work with legal technology (court-filing computer systems, transcription software, etc.)
Strong analytical and research skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
