We are seeking a Wire Specialist to join our team in the commercial banking industry located in GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colorado. The Wire Specialist will be accountable for a range of customer service and administrative duties to ensure efficient, timely and accurate processing of customer applications and inquiries.

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly detailed and diligent Bank Wire Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing detailed wire transfer tasks, ensuring all requests are accurately completed, and assisting with investigations related to wire transactions. This role requires someone with a keen eye for detail, robust knowledge of wire transactions, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced banking environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Process wire transfer requests, both domestic and international, ensuring high accuracy and timeliness.

  • Review and verify all wire transfer information such as account numbers, and routing numbers, to ensure accurate processing.

  • Validate wire details in accordance with bank policies, compliance regulations, and anti-money laundering (AML) standards.

  • Address any transaction-related inquiries from customers, working to resolve issues promptly.

  • Maintain a high degree of knowledge concerning wire systems, interbank procedures, and federal regulations, utilizing this expertise to inform any computer system update recommendations.

  • Provide accurate documentation to support wire transfer activities and maintain proper transaction records.

  • Assist with investigating and rectifying any wire transfer discrepancies or issues.

  • Collaborate effectively with other banking departments to ensure seamless wire processing and problem resolution.

Requirements:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in wire transfer operations, preferably in a banking environment.

  • Detailed knowledge of banking practices, wire transfer procedures, and associated legal and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong numeric skills and a high level of accuracy.

  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in relevant banking software.

  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations diligently with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a particular focus on customer service.

The successful Bank Wire Specialist should be detail-oriented, accurate, and customer-focused. They should demonstrate the ability to work with minimum supervision while maintaining a high level of efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a preference for those with a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.

• Previous professional experience in banking or financial services is necessary, ideally within the commercial banking sector.

• Proficiency in data entry and the ability to accurately process high volumes of information is essential.

• A solid understanding of wire transfer systems and related banking procedures is expected.

• Applicants should possess a strong attention to detail and the ability to spot potential errors or discrepancies.
