Robert Half Cloud Engineer in Greer, South Carolina
Description We are in search of a Cloud Engineer to join our team in Greer, South Carolina. The focus of the role is to lead the design, implementation, and management of AWS infrastructure. You will be responsible for optimizing and securing cloud solutions and driving cloud initiatives. This role is also about fostering a DevOps culture, promoting collaboration between development and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
• Architect, optimize, and secure cloud solutions, focusing primarily on AWS
• Oversee the provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud resources
• Implement automation tools to improve infrastructure efficiency and reliability
• Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline cloud resource management
• Design, deploy, and manage secure AWS network architectures
• Enforce cloud security standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies
• Conduct regular security assessments to identify and mitigate risks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, Security, Development) to meet business objectives
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to optimize the deployment process
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance across cloud environments
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members
• Analyze cloud spending patterns, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement cost-reduction strategies Requirements • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in managing and operating Amazon CloudWatch and Amazon EC2 is essential.
• Demonstrable experience with Ansible for automation and configuration management is required.
• Experience with Atlassian Jira for project management and issue tracking is a must.
• Knowledge and experience in implementing Auto Scaling for applications is necessary.
• Proven experience in API Development and Automation is crucial.
• Familiarity with AWS Technologies and Backup Technologies is needed.
• Proficiency in Cluster Analysis for managing large data sets is required.
• Must be able to legally work in the location of the job.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
