Robert Half Software Engineer in Greer, South Carolina
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer in the Financial Services industry, based in Greer, South Carolina. This role involves developing software solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes. You will also be investigating problem areas, following the software development lifecycle, and determining system specifications and standards.
Responsibilities:
• Design, code, test, debug, and document software according to the functional requirements
• Analyze, diagnose, and resolve errors related to the applications
• Develop, maintain, and report on project plans
• Provide technical guidance to the team
• Develop software using languages and technologies of the .NET framework, including C# and Visual Basic
• Develop web applications using Python and contribute to API toolkit using Django REST framework
• Implement best practices for full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Write clean, readable code and have a proficient understanding of code versioning tools like GitHub, Bit Bucket, etc.
• Develop backend components to improve responsiveness and overall performance
• Have an in-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. SQL, Oracle, PostGreSQL) Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in API Development
• Proven experience in C Sharp Programming (C#)
• Solid understanding and experience in Backend Development
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Familiarity with the financial services industry and its specific software requirements
• Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®
