Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Griffin, Georgia
Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Griffin, Georgia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting functions of four small businesses in the homecare, temporary employment, hospice, and gym industries. This position will be fully on-site from Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the accounting functions for four small businesses: Homecare, Temporary Employment, Hospice, and Gym
• Utilize accounting software systems such as Quickbooks and Sage for financial management
• Handle financial services using ADP
• Maintain and manipulate data using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office Suites
• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Conduct bank reconciliations
• Perform billing functions
• Utilize Peachtree Sage for accounting functions
• Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems such as QuickBooks and Peachtree Sage
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must
• Demonstrated understanding of Accounting Functions including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience with Bank Reconciliations and Billing Functions
• Ability to manage all aspects of the general ledger
• Proven track record in managing and processing payroll
• Knowledge of federal and state payroll tax regulations and requirements
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field preferred.
