Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Hamilton, Indiana
Description
Looking to work with a thriving company? Robert Half is seeking a talented Controller to also oversee HR duties to work with a successful organization that will recognize your efforts. This position is for candidates who can lead daily operations, such as preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger system, preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, and assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable. If you have the ability to create and monitor the company's accounting and finance operations, you will be preferred for this position. This Accounting Manager position is a terrific opportunity for permanent employment that is located in the Ashley, Indiana area.
Key responsibilities
Prepare a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures
Lead and encourage the full accounting team performance during the closing process to ensure deadlines are met
Collaborate with FP& A and accounting management to deliver relevant and timely reporting of financial data analytics, including monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook
Assist in the implementation of NetSuite Financials, including system and process design, data migration, testing, training, and go-forward system administration
Review and analyze balance sheets and income statement accounts owned by the Senior Accountant
Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, which includes document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation, and reconciliation processes
Command sufficient knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems
Requirements
Creative problem solver who anticipates risks and opportunities and maintains a vision for continuous improvement
5+ years of recent relevant financial experience
Strong familiarity with month end closings
Knowledge of QuickBooks
Enterprise resource planning experience
Enterprise resource planning experience
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing
CPA or MBA preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer service mindset
Proven technical skills
Working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is valuable
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or equivalent degree and/or experience
HR oversight
