Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity in Hamilton, New Jersey for a Bookkeeper. As a key player in our team, you will be tasked with a variety of financial tasks that are essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our company. The role is within the industry of finance and accounting, where precision and a high level of accuracy are paramount.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of maintaining financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments • Manage aspects of both accounts payable and receivable • Conduct regular data entry tasks, ensuring all financial data is up to date • Utilize QuickBooks for entering invoices and other financial information • Assume responsibility for payroll tasks, ensuring all staff are paid accurately and on time • Monitor customer accounts and act appropriately in response to discrepancies or issues • Examine financial statements to check for accuracy and compliance with the law • Work independently and take the initiative to solve problems as they arise • Carry out other bookkeeping duties as designated by the company. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Experience in Payroll management • Proficiency in QuickBooks preferred • Must possess strong organizational skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy • Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
