Description
We are looking for a meticulous and patient-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team in the healthcare industry, located in Hamilton, New Jersey. This role requires you to manage patient interactions, maintain accurate records, and facilitate daily administrative tasks. This opportunity offers a long term contract employment.
Responsibilities
• Coordinate patient appointments and manage the practice's schedule
• Verify and update patient medical insurance information
• Assist patients in navigating the healthcare facility and direct them to appropriate departments
• Register patients in the healthcare system and ensure all information is accurate
• Use the EMR software for patient record-keeping and scheduling
• Handle patient inquiries and resolve any issues or concerns
• Conduct regular checks on patient records for accuracy and completeness
• Reach out to patients for appointment reminders or follow-ups
• Provide assistance to patients with their healthcare-related needs
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to healthcare regulations and standards.
Requirements
• Experience in medical insurance verification to ensure seamless service delivery
• Ability to schedule appointments efficiently for optimal patient flow
• Demonstrated ability to assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Experience in checking in patients, ensuring all necessary information is collected
• Strong communication skills to effectively contact patients for appointment reminders or follow-ups
• Ability to direct patients within the healthcare facility to ensure smooth operations
• Experience in registering new patients, ensuring all relevant data is collected and entered into the system accurately.
