Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Controller in Hampton, Virginia, United States. This role primarily involves overseeing the financial and tax aspects of our operations, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, and acting as a key liaison for both internal and external stakeholders. As the Controller, you will be instrumental in driving process improvements, cost efficiencies, and ensuring the safety and health of your team members.
Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the financial management of the company, ensuring alignment with strategic interests
• Acting as the primary contact for tax, statutory, audit, and financial risk management matters
• Coordinating the financing, cash management, and financial risk planning in conjunction with corporate functions
• Ensuring compliance with governance and internal control frameworks
• Supporting the timely completion of audits for the company
• Advising local management on projects and queries related to finance, tax, statutory, and financial risk management activities
• Driving process improvements and cost efficiencies related to financial management activities
• Allocating costs related to financial management activities to the appropriate business units
• Utilizing knowledge of accounting software systems, auditing, budget processes, and financial reporting standards in daily tasks
• Ensuring the safety and health of all team members. Requirements • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrated experience in Auditing
• In-depth knowledge of Budget Processes
• Proven track record of handling Approved Budgets
• Experience with Annual Tax preparations and submissions
• Ability to prepare and present Annual Audited Financial Statements
• Skill in analyzing Financial Statements
• Experience in calculating Annual Income Tax Provisions
• Proficiency in SAP Financials and SAP ERP
• Familiarity with Sage Software
• Extensive experience in Financial Auditing
• Knowledge of IFRS - Intl Financial Reporting Standards
