Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Medical Billing/Claims/Collections specialist in Hampton, Virginia. The role is within the Healthcare/NHS industry and will involve the handling of medical claims, patient insurance processes, and related administrative duties. This role will require the use of several skills including proficiency in Accurint, EHR SYSTEM, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, Collection Processes, and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities:
• File medical claims with insurance companies post-patient treatment
• Utilize an online billing system for processing and tracking claims
• Regularly follow up with patients on any claim denials and ensure resubmission
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all customer credit applications
• Efficiently administer claims and billing functions using EHR SYSTEM and Accurint
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Facilitate communication with patients, providing updates and resolving inquiries
• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action as required
• Contribute to collection processes, ensuring all procedures are accurately followed. Requirements • Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in Medical Billing, Claims, or Collections within the Healthcare or NHS industry.
• Proficiency in using Accurint and EHR SYSTEM is required.
• Should have a solid understanding of Billing Functions, Claim Administration, and Collection Processes.
• Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Excel for data management and analysis.
• Must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex billing information to patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively with diverse groups of people.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve billing and claim issues promptly.
• Must have strong organizational skills for maintaining detailed and accurate records.
• Knowledge of current healthcare and NHS regulations and compliance standards related to billing and collections.
• Preference will be given to candidates with professional certifications related to Medical Billing and Coding.
