Robert Half Accounting Manager/Supervisor in Hanford, California
Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in the Agriculture industry, based in Hanford, California. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity. The Accounting Manager/Supervisor will be responsible for a variety of tasks including processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries.
Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable/receivable and billing functions.
• Utilize Accounting Software Systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools to maintain accurate financial records.
• Supervise, track, and evaluate day-to-day activities.
• Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.
• Coordinate and complete annual audits.
• Provide recommendations to improve systems and financial performance.
• Use Concur system for expense reporting and management.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
• Ensure all transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system.
Requirements
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an Accounting Manager or Supervisor role
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive understanding and experience with Accounting Functions
• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Must have experience in Auditing
• Should have experience with Billing Functions
• Must have a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Should possess excellent leadership and team management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Should have a keen eye for detail and a strong analytical mindset
• Must have advanced knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures
• Experience in the Agriculture industry is a plus.
