Robert Half Cyber Security Engineer in Hanover, Maryland
Description We’re partnering with a top-tier company to find a Site Reliability Engineer who is passionate about designing robust, scalable solutions in a cloud environment. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies, solving critical infrastructure challenges while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Expert-level Python development for API integrations, focusing on AWS API Gateway.
Build and maintain Lambda functions using Python, optimizing performance and ensuring reliability.
Design and manage cloud infrastructure using CloudFormation (and Terraform for advanced candidates).
Contribute to and maintain AWS infrastructure, leveraging Cloud Development Kit (CDK) when applicable.
Work closely with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation) to ensure system uptime and reliability.
Must-Have Skills:
5-7 years of experience in Python development, specializing in API development with AWS API Gateway.
Proven experience in writing and deploying AWS Lambda functions using Python.
Strong expertise with CloudFormation (CFN), and Terraform knowledge is a plus.
In-depth experience with AWS services and infrastructure, including designing and deploying scalable, resilient solutions.
Experience with Cloud Development Kit (CDK) is a big advantage.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with serverless architectures and automation of cloud infrastructure.
Experience with other infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, etc.).
Knowledge of DevOps best practices, continuous integration, and deployment pipelines.
